This beautiful house served as a doctor’s surgery for many years, first Dr A.J Mackenzie, who was the chief medical officer for the hospital as well as Government Medical Officer. Dr. Mackenzie then sold his practice to Dr. R.S Irwin in 1937. Dr Irwin continued until 1968/69 when his new surgery was built on East Ave. Dr. Irwin was known as the heart doctor as he was the first doctor in the north to have an ECG machine.
2 Suites, all equipped with great facilities
We offer two suites of which both have there own living area and private entrance. We are a leisurely walk to town through the beautiful parks to the pubs, cafes, and shops.
Other things of interest in Glen Innes are the Standing Stones and there is The Croft’s Café onsite. The Beardies Museum and Research Centre is a must whilst here. You can have a relaxing getaway or go for a hike in one of the national parks not too far away.
