With over 30 years’ experience in the New England North West region of NSW, Homes North provides a place to call home for over 1924 people.  We strive for an integrated approach to housing that includes community and consumer involvement with consideration of necessary facilities, amenities, opportunities and community supports.

Our organisation works to achieve a just and equitable distribution and access to housing resources in NSW, participating in planning and implementation of housing policies at all levels of government to develop and expand community based non-profit housing programmes.

Our objectives are:

• to work for the prevention of the further loss of accommodation for low income earners and the associated escalation in accommodation costs which is causing dispossession and displacement of these people
• to raise public awareness and understanding of the social contexts within which people become homeless or poorly housed
• to encourage the involvement of tenants in the management of their own housing
• focus on the housing needs of those population groups discriminated against in the private rental market and/or excluded from other public housing programmes.

Homes North Community Housing Co Ltd is a Tier 1 registered provider of Social Housing and a Company limited by guarantee. We are a not-for-profit community housing provider, and have been operating in this sector for 30 years.

We are a member of the NSW Federation of Housing Associations and part of a network of 32 housing associations operating throughout NSW.
